Welcome to WORKREADY! for your Workplace
What is WORKREADY?
WORKREADY! is a soft skills curriculum provided by West Michigan Works! that measures how well your workers understand and use the nine important work skills that employers value the most. Check out the nine skills below.
How do we know these are the skills employers value?
Because we asked. We developed the curriculum based on feedback and direction from West Michigan employers.
When your employees understand and use the skills covered in WORKREADY!, they create a “ripple effect” that will positively affect how they work, the people they work with and the business they work for!
Here’s how it works:
- Choose a delivery method: live virtual workshops or on-demand workshops via a learning management system.
- Employees take a pre-assessment to measure their current understanding and use of the employability skills.
- Employees attend workshops to increase their knowledge of the skills for which they scored lower in the pre-assessment.
- Employees take a post-assessment to measure how their understanding of the skill(s) may have improved. If they score high enough, they receive a WorkReady certificate acknowledging mastery of important workplace skills.
